(More customer reviews)Several years ago I asked my son and daughter-in-law for this cookbook--I was using it while staying at their house. They gave me their copy and asked for it back this year. I couldn't give it up, so I ordered one for them. I have been living in Oaxaca Mexico, and found the recipes very compatible with the products available there--and all four of us love Latin American and Carribbean cuisine. The recipes are a little daunting at first because most of the dishes call for several different recipes in the book, but you quickly get used to it. They are also a little light on the spice--meaning hot peppers, cayenne, etc. But of course that is a matter of taste, and the American palate isn't as tough as ours, probably! All in all, it's a great cookbook.
